VIDEO: Nissan GT-R vs Blendtec Total Blender... something blends

If you haven't seen any of the Will It Blend? videos, just know that it's what Monty Python would be doing if there were still a Monty Python. For those of you in the know, then you had to realize that it was only a matter of time before the Blendtec Total Blender - with a blade that turns at 330+ miles-per-hour - would go up against the, um, Nissan GT-R. The location of this showdown doesn't take place in the Blendtec Total Blender's blending cup, but rather on the track with the kitchen appliance riding shotgun. Back at Blendtec Total Blender HQ, host Tom Dickson throws three of the GT-R's competitors in the Total Blender... and smokes the tires. Follow the jump to check out the action, and when you're finished be sure to check out the recipe for cochicken. Yum.

| воскресенье, 23 августа 2009 г.

Titanpro4x2

Nissan’s slew of new information continues to roll out. Now we’re learning a bit more about the new PRO-4X and long-wheelbase versions of Nissan’s full-size Titan pickup.

The PRO-4X is an off-road model with Rancho shocks, additional skid plates, electronic locking rear differential and specific 18-inch wheels. There are also interior touches — a PRO-4X logo and different gauges.

The PRO-4X and the rest of the range get the improved 5.6-liter V-8 engine, which sees its power output rise to 317 hp.

More photos of the lineup, including interior shots we weren’t able to bring you yesterday, are below.

Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: Nissan 200SX Convertible For $6500? [Nice Price Or Crack Pipe]

| суббота, 25 июля 2009 г.

It's time for Nice Price Or Crack Pipe, where you make the call on a car seller's possibly-not-on-speaking-terms-with-reality asking price. Last time we were here, 69% of you thought that $19,000 was just too much to pay for this UK-market RHD Skyline. Today we're going to look at a slightly more affordable Nissan product: an early-80s Nissan (or maybe Datsun) 200SX convertible. It appears to have quasi-functional top, and the seller wants you to know it's "Extremely Rare and collectible."

Thanks to LTDScott for the tip. [Craigslist Washington DC, go here if ad disappears]

Is $6500 a reasonable price for an Extremely Rare Nissan 200SX convertible?

Nissan recalling Altimas

| воскресенье, 19 июля 2009 г.

Bad news for Nissan fans: japan carmaker has issued a recall for more than 3,400 MY’09 Altimas equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels. Reason? Some of the alloy wheels may not have been manufactured to the correct specification, something that could lead to one or more of the five lug nuts attaching the wheel to the vehicle to become loose. Nissan authorized dealers will inspect the vehicles and if find will replace the faulty alloy wheels new ones. Nissan Altima owners can contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
